2022 R. Bruce Owens Warrior for Justice Scholarship

“The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers” is among the most famous but controversial quotes from William Shakespeare‘s Henry VI. Without knowing the context, this line leads us to believe that Shakespeare had a negative impression of those who defend law and order.

However, the underlying message of this quote is that lawyers are the guardians of independent thinking, and without them, chaos would reign. This message inspired our firm to create the 2022  R. Bruce Owens Warrior for Justice Scholarship.

The attorneys at Owens, McCrea, & Linscott are passionate about standing up for justice and caring for our clients. As a personal injury firm, we are familiar with hearing stories where the negligence of an individual leaves lifelong repercussions for another. We take pride in defending people facing overwhelming odds and seeking justice for them as lawyers. We hope that this scholarship will encourage a healthy discussion about lawyers’ crucial roles in society. Our firm is proud to start the R. Bruce Owens Warrior for Justice Scholarship and will award the winner $1,000 for educational purposes.
